Something about love

Part 1
Love is pregnant
The beginning of love is to let those we love to be just themselves, and not twist them with our own image. Otherwise, we love only the reflection we find in them.
The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everthing;they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you’re the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can’t get on well in life unless you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
Why do we constantly feel lonely when in love ?
Cos sometimes we are trapped in a hole where we could see nothing but our own expectation on others. It is painful to see that others don't always act on our wills and realize our dreams to please us. But only when we combine love and freedom together can we find the meaning of true love.
Part 2
Life Emily Dickinson
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain.
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
What is the meaning of life?
Love.
Without love ,we human beings are just dust and shadows that float aimlessly in the desert. It is love that connects us and presents us with dignity and hope which encourages us to live on and on. With love, we will never feel alone.
Part 3
What does it mean to be a lover?
What does it mean to be a lover?
To be a real lover, you must commit to and participate in a perpetual dance of intimacy with your partner.
You are a lover when you appreciate the gift that your partner is, and celebrate that gift every day.
You are a lover when you remember that your partner does not belong to you- he or she is on loan from the universe.
You are a lover when you realize that nothing that happens between you will be insignificant, that everything you say in the relationship has the potential to cause your beloved joy or sorrow, and everthing you do will either strengthen your connection or weaken it.
You are a lover when you understand all this, and thus wake up each morning filled with gratitude that you have another day in which to love and enjoy your partner.
When you have a lover in your life, you are richly blessed. You have been given the gift of another person who has chosen to walk beside.
This is an article from 'Chicken Soup', and I also have another lovely poem from there:
Across the years,
I will walk with you—
In deep, green forests;
On shores of sand
And when our time
On Earth is through
In heaven, too
You will have
My hand.

Looking up

'Just look up, we are both under the same starry sky.'
This is my favourite sentence. It reminds me of the people that I missed so much, no matter they are alive or dead.
According to the fairy tale 'The little girl selling matches', when a person on earth dies, you'll see a star running through the sky and falling down.
I went to the top floor and watched the stars for a while just now. The breeze kept talking to me in a most comfortable way, sending me some mysterious but pleasant messages from somewhere beyond my wildest imagination.
To my surprize, the stars seemed to be moving slowly all the time. When I tried to stare at them carefully, the dazzling light from the stadium nearby made it difficult. 'Alright', I thought. Anyway, imagining is the most enjoyable thing during star-watching.
So I started thinking. Thinking of the aliens out there in the universe. Thinking of the future of the human beings. What will the aliens see millons of years later? A desolate hell? A burning land? Or a crowded planet with intelectual people all around? However the situation will be, I appreciate what I have now whole-heartedly and pray for our incredibly wonderful homeland, this small but magnificent planet where so many miracles have happened.
It seemed that I could feel the awe, the splendour and hope that Judie Foster mentioned in 'Contact'. The universe is SO large, and everyone of us is so small and insignificant. Why should we be so stupid as to quarrel and fight for something which never belongs to us?
It says in 'We belong to the sea' that 'as soon as it stops, we'll all be a drop'. Similarly, the moment the world comes to an end, we'll all turn into dust that floats in the vast universe. Everybody is exactly the same then. That's a good thing.
Life is short and precious, so be happy and use it well. To love somebody, to love yourself, and to love the world sincerely.

All settled

The admission results are released.
As I presumed, I dropped out.
It is now that I truly realized that nothing just happenes, and that everything comes for some reason. Miracles don't usually occur even if you really want them.
But that isn't the end of my pursuit of an ideal life. Just as I've learned from 'Growing pains', some failures may turn out to be some kind of luck in the future. As long as I keep my dreams well and work hard, the goddess of luck will show her brilliant smile to me one day.
Let me settle down my favourite lyrics of 'Hero' once again to encourage myself and my friends with similar drawbacks:

There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know will melt away

And then a hero comes along
With the strengh to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

It's a long road
When you face the world alone
No one reaches out a hand for you to hold
You can find love if you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt will disappear

Lord knows dreams are hard to follow
But don't let anyone tear them away
Hold on there will be tomorrow
In time you'll find the way

Mother's love

The gift
I want to give you something, my child, for we are drifting in the stream of the world.
Our lives will be carried apart, and or love forgotten.
But I'm not so foolish as to hope that I could buy your heart with my gifts.
Young is your life, your path long, and you drink the love we bring you at one draught and turn and run away from us.
You have your play and your playmates. What harm is there if you have no time or thought for us?
We, indeed, have leisure enough in old age to count the days that are past, to cherish in our hearts what our hands have lost forever.
The rivers runs swift with a song, breaking through all barriers.
But the mountain stays and remembers and follows her with his love.
-- 'The Crescent Moon' by Tagore
